Terms of Service

Thumbmail · Last updated 26 May 2026

These terms govern your use of Thumbmail, an AI email assistant operated by Caring Abode (Australia). By creating an account or connecting an inbox, you agree to them.

1. The service

Thumbmail connects to your Outlook or Gmail mailbox to triage incoming mail, notify you, draft replies in your voice, and help you act on email by text. Thumbmail prepares drafts and only sends email after you explicitly approve each send.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be 18+ and authorised to connect the mailbox you add. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your access secure.

3. Trial & billing

4. Your responsibility for content

You review and approve every email before it is sent. You are responsible for the content of emails you send using Thumbmail. AI-generated drafts may contain errors, omissions, or [placeholders] — always read a draft before sending.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Thumbmail to send spam, unlawful, harassing, or deceptive content, to infringe others' rights, or to violate your mail provider's terms. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. AI & no warranty of accuracy

Thumbmail uses AI (Anthropic's Claude) which can be wrong. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy, fitness, or uninterrupted availability, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

7. Third-party services

Thumbmail relies on Microsoft, Google, Anthropic, Twilio, Stripe and hosting providers. Your use of your mail provider remains subject to their terms. We're not liable for outages or changes in those services.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Thumbmail is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss arising from emails drafted or sent, missed messages, or service interruptions. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the previous 3 months.

9. Termination

You can stop using Thumbmail and disconnect at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or for security/legal reasons.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you submit to the jurisdiction of its courts.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use means acceptance.
